How Does Dr. Barnes Help Dental Patients in Boulder?

Dr. Barnes not only can help with routine dental emergencies and traumas, but he has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education in the areas of TMJ dysfunction (jaw joint) as well as sleep disordered breathing.

As a dentist practicing sleep disordered breathing dysfunctions, Dr. Barnes is qualified to work in coordination with sleep labs and sleep physicians in order to find solutions for patients that have nighttime breathing and snoring problems. His dental skills and advanced training have allowed him to properly implement oral appliance therapies (OAT) for his patients.

How Dr. Barnes Uses his Dental Ruler Business Cards

Dr. Barnes routinely sees patients experiencing TMJ pain. Often times, TMJ patients have a limited range of motion upon opening. As their jaw joints can sometimes become restricted, Dr. Barnes is able to use the lateral scale on his rulers to measure lateral excursions, or left to right movements of the jaw.

Also, his dental team is able to quickly measure the vertical range of motion for the jaw joint. Typically, when a patient cannot open more than 40mm, there can either be a muscular or joint dysfunction.

Dr. Barnes chose the standard Back for his business cards so he is able to track the patient’s progress and record the measurements on each appointment date. Then the cards can be filed right in the patient charts – or sent home with the patient as a souvenir or to generate referrals!

Here is what the design team was able to come up with to match the color style of the TMJ & Sleep Solutions Logo:

And for the back, Dr. Barnes chose the traditional style to record patient information at the time of appointment:
